Sunline was incorporated on January 16, 1990, strictly as an Underground Utility Contracting Company. In the span of three years the company established a reputation for the swift execution of projects and the ability to complete the toughest of jobs.
Some of the projects completed during that time were:
• Spiegel at Sawgrass Mills
• Cobb Theater (now Regal Cinemas) at Sawgrass Mills
• Broward County Public Safety Complex
• Palmetto Park Road expansion - Palm Beach County
• Lake Ida Road /Jog Road expansion - Palm Beach County
• HH School - Delray - Palm Beach County School Board
• Golden Glades/I-95 expansion
In April of 1993, Sunline merged it’s personnel and equipment with a local Roadway/Earthwork Contractor
and in so doing helped to grow this company into a large, well respected operation performing projects statewide. Initially, Dave became a partner and a manager of the Underground Division which grew
from his original three crews to 27 crews statewide. During his tenure Dave was promoted to
Vice President/General Manager of the entire company. At least 200 projects were successfully
completed during this time.
Three distinctive/notable projects completed during this time:
• National Car Rental Center (Panther Arena) Holds the record as being the fastest completed
sporting arena in history.
• I-4 expansion in Lakeland - FDOT. $41 million project with a 365 day contract duration.
A highly visible test case project for the Florida DOT.
• Pembroke Falls Development - 1500 acre residential development (over $70 million)
In November of 2002, Dave decided to re-institute Sunline Engineering Contractors as an independent
entity once again. However... now wiser, more experienced, and eager to put his new vision plan into action,
Dave elected to restructure the company and share ownership interests with a select few seasoned partners.
Since that time Sunline has established a solid reputation for reliability, consistently completing projects
on time and on budget. A continuous record of achievement with such diverse Projects and Clients as
Wal-mart, Homes By Kennedy, Publix, Rooms to Go, and Wellington Elementary School has brought
steady growth in company size and capability.
Sunline now boasts 4+ Mainline Crews, 2+ Test Crews, a solid network of Pipe Subcontractors and
Suppliers, and a new corporate office in Palm City, FL, now in the final stages of construction. Although
Underground Utilities are still our forte, Sunline now also offers Complete Civil Packages including,
but not limited to, Earthwork, Paving, Excavation, Demolition, and more.
